Santosh Pant's 18 - year old son Pratik has had a sex change for which he went to Bangkok recently.
Few have reported Pratik Pant as being the first Nepali to go through a gender change however I wouldn't go as far as that since many transgender in Nepal have had breast implants and some are going through the process of taking hormone tablets to develop feminine body parts. And lastly, my view on it I hear you ask! If that makes him happy, comfortable and positive then that's brilliant. After all it's Pratik's life, so regardless of who he wants to see, how he wants to be is not our business. Gender changes will happen, it's inevitable. Respect their decision if you can't accept it.

Its very good to be public....after all there is nothing wrong about it.
It is an initiative and hope for the younger as well as older generations to live in freedom.

Absolutely fucked up. I feel physically nauseous. This is outrageously unconventional and shouldn't be allowed in our society, this sort of changes, has no benefits to it. I'm not against homosexuals and heartily support them, but sex change is something I can never compromise in my way of thinking. Find a gay partner and live happily, theres plenty of them around, the fortunate ones can go through this procedure but what about the least fortunate ones? hence its highly unfair too. amen
